I would like to remind Joseph Xuereb (The Sunday Times, November 1) that our farm was in the middle of nowhere 40 years ago as it had been shifted from the centre of San Ġwann. He decided to ruin the tip of Wied Għomor by building a five-storey block of flats beside our farm. Would one call this block an eyesore?

Mr Xuereb made a number of false allegations and tried to twist facts. During the 40 years we operated this farm we were always under the authorities' surveillance and now, as he stated, we have upgraded the farm to conform with EU regulations.

Today we are pleased to have very high quality milk from our cows, in compliance with all EU standards and regulations and if it were for Mr Xuereb this project could not have been carried out as he opposed it from the beginning.

I would like to invite Mr Xuereb to visit our farm and, if he has any suggestions for improvement, we are ready to discuss them. I take this opportunity to thank the authorities who from day one believed in us and helped us with this project. We spent over €1 million on this project and we would never do anything which goes against EU directives.

Yes, we are proud to produce the best quality milk for our consumers - from stable to table. Again, I emphasise that this is always under EU health and environmental regulations.
