Avoiding traffic accidents
Traffic lights are definitely required on the Mrieħel bypass, since traffic coming from Marsa and going towards Rabat, to reach the industrial estate, has increased.
The sooner they are installed, the lower the risk of accidents.
Recently, I also witnessed what could have been a bad traffic collision in the St Venera tunnel. Some drivers suddenly slow down in the tunnel to avoid being caught by the speed cameras which are situated at the end of the tunnel. On this occasion, three cars nearly crashed into each other.
Cameras should be moved further along the road, so that speed in the tunnel will remain stable.

Traffic lights are NOT the solution. That dangerous juction in the middle of Mriehel bypass needs to be removed. Ideally a flyover or underpass is required but that costs money and will NOT happen.
As to speed cameras at the end of the tunnels, well that's an ideal stealth location no?
Their removal will NOT happen either, and damn the hard braking..........money making takes priority over accident avoidance.
