The European Consumer Centre of Malta has recently issued a short brochure featuring general advice about buying goods.
The brochure outlines general information that consumers should be aware of should any products result faulty, unfit for their purpose or do not conform to the contract of sale.
Since the European Consumer Centre handles exclusively consumer cases where the purchase was made from another EU member state, the brochure also explains what commercial guarantees are and outlines advice in relation to 'international warranties', particularly when goods are purchased from another EU member state.
