Ten yachts, including two which took part in the Middle Sea race, were this morning loaded onto the Beluga Elegance, which arrived in Malta from Italy for the purpose.

Alex Polidano, managing director of Ocean and Sky Logistics Ltd, local agents of Seven Star, said this was the biggest operation of the sort ever carried out in Malta.

The ship will be going to Port Kendla and Australia.

The two Middle Sea race yachts are the Ram and the Leopard. The other eight yachts were owned privately and belonged to people who were stationed in Malta for some time and were now returning to Australia.
