I read with interest the report by Ivan Camilleri from Brussels about the expensive taste of Nicolas Sarkozy, who is reported to have spent €5,000 per head on 43 heads of states including Malta's premier, Lawrenze Gonzi.

Mr Sarkozy's watchers and the media are now trying to get a copy of this menu which might well end up in the Guinness Book of Records.

Perhaps some local food experts can come up with a menu that would cost €5,000 per head. Local gourmets will certainly be curious as to what food connoisseurs can come up with.
