Burmarrad Commercials to diversify further

Burmarrad Commercials, the vehicle importer, is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary and is determined to diversify even further to expand its client base.

Burmarrad Commercials was founded in 1984 by Mario Gauci. With a business partner, the company began to import vehicles from the UK, tapping into a Maltese market which was still in its infancy. The business took off almost immediately and eventually Mr Gauci took over the entire business. He started to import vehicles from other European countries as well as venturing into the Japanese market in the 1990s.

As the company expanded, Mr Gauci's three children Sharon, Maria and Mario Jr became increasingly involved in the running of the company, acquiring experience in the various aspects of the business. Today, all three are directors, each responsible for a specific department.

A diversification strategy was embarked upon by the company culminating with the establishment of Burmarrad Commercials Group. Today, the firm spans all aspects of new and used vehicle trade, including private vehicles, industrial machinery and lifting equipment. It also deals in a range of residential and commercial property, with several major projects in the pipeline.

With the assistance of a highly- skilled and qualified team, Burmarrad Commercials offers a full range of supporting vehicle services including repairing, rebuilding or re-spraying any type of vehicle. Other services include refrigeration repairs and electrical work. Burmarrad Commercials has now established itself as a one-stop-shop for all vehicular needs, including tyre services, spray painting and body building. The company also offers after-sales service.

Burmarrad Commercials stocks a substantial range of private vehicles, from hatchbacks to SUVs and four-wheel drive models from leading manufacturers such as Isuzu, Toyota and Mitsubishi, as well as many others. The company now also boasts of a large rentals and leasing services department, specialising in commercial vehicles, for both individual short-term rentals as well as whole fleets for corporate clients.

The group is also the official agent for Carrier Transicold Europe, Doosan Daewoo, Pegaso Lifts and MBB Palfinger.
