Juventus in 1-0 win over Maccabi Haifa

Juventus claimed a 1-0 win over Maccabi Haifa in their Champions League Group A match on Tuesday to stay in the hunt for a spot in the knockout phase.

Mauro Camoranesi scored what proved to be the winner in first-half stoppage time when his shot was deflected off a defender to beat Nir Davidovich in the Haifa goal.

Second-placed Juventus have eight points behind Girondins Bordeaux, who have qualified on 10 points after their 2-0 win at Bayern Munich. The German side are third on four points.

Haifa, making their second appearance in the group stage following their debut in 2002-03, have lost all four matches and have yet to score a goal in the current campaign.
