Young man dies of suspected overdose

A young man was yesterday found lifeless in Il-Grazz-ji Street, Żabbar, by his family in what the police strongly suspect was a drug overdose.

The police said they were informed that the man, 25, of Marsascala, was found dead at about 9 a.m. with drug-related material close by. Duty Magistrate Laurence Quintano is carrying out an inquiry and investigations by the district police and the drugs squad are under way. An autopsy is expected to confirm the cause of death.
