PM in Spain for Zapatero meeting

Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi is on his way to Spain where he will this morning have talks with Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Zapatero.
Spain will be taking over the EU presidency next year and the meeting is part of the normal rounds before a country takes over the six-month rotating presidency.
The leaders will discuss Spain´s priorities for its presidency, the most importing being the implementation of the Lisbon Treaty.

Good. Maybe now Gonzi will learn from Zapatero how Spain implemented an information campaign in Africa to discourage illegal immigration, rather than rewarding the illegal immigrants by lining their pockets with 5000 euros and an eternal shower of benefits, as in Malta.

I wonder if Dr.Gonzi & Zapatero will discuss the poor diplomatic ties between their countries...
