Diwali celebration

The Maltese Indian Community celebrated the Indian Festival of Lights, Diwali, at the Pavilion Suite of the Westin Dragonara Hotel, St Julian's, last weekend with their Maltese friends and families. The evening started with the veneration of the Goddess Lakshmi with candles and the traditional prayer song and dance. This was followed by a show of classical Indian dancing - Bharat Natyam - as well as the popular Bollywood style of dance. Seen are Krsna Mohnani, Olivia Mello and Simran Mohnani and Neeraj Bharwani with Amy Diya Bharwani, Devesh Nandwani, Ritasha Nandwani and Lisa Joel Bharwani. In the background are Thea Alisha Bharwani and Hannah Bharwani.
