Mr ALAN ARRIGO and Miss NADIA MIFSUD
The marriage took place on Saturday, October 24, at Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, between ALAN, son of Robert and Marina Arrigo of Sliema, and NADIA, daughter of Francis and Miriam Mifsud of Tarxien. Fr Clement Azzopardi celebrated nuptial Mass. The ceremony was witnessed by Clare Mifsud and Andrew Arrigo. The duties of best man were carried out by Leonard Bonello. The bride was attended by Jahel Grixti and Melanie Azzopardi. Amy Galdes was flower-girl. Andrew Bonnici, Thomas Sullivan, Edward Zammit Tabona and Michael Ellul acted as ushers. A reception was later held at Villa Arrigo, San Pawl tat-Tarġa.

The marriage took place on October 17 at St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, between THOMAS, son of Mr and Mrs Robert Engerer of Sliema, and SARAH, daughter of Chev. and Mrs John A. Gauci-Maistre of Sliema. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Charles Cini, SDB. The ceremony was witnessed by Mrs Carmen Borg Barthet and Mr Joshua Ellul. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Eric Bonnici. Dr Jean-Pie Gauci-Maistre was chief usher, while Mr Daniel Azzopardi, Mr Peter Borg, Mr Karl Coppini, Mr Carl Degiorgio, Mr Karl Engerer, Mr Edward Engerer, Mr Mark Micallef, Mr Neil Psaila, Mr Malcolm Xuereb and Mr Michael Zarb were ushers. The bride was attended by Ms Joanna Eynaud as maid of honour, together with Ms Carina Anastasi, Mrs Greta Azzopardi and Ms Caroline Grima. Ms Emily Rouse and Ms Robyn Marshall were flower-girls and Mr Oliver Pawley was pageboy. A reception was later held at the Phoenicia Hotel, Floriana.

The marriage took place on November 1, 1959, at Santa Caterina d'Italia church, Valletta. Mgr. Michael Azzopardi celebrated Mass. Congratulations and best wishes from their children Christopher and Karen and Bernard and Karen and their grandchildren Jeremy, Christina, Sophie, Sarah and Susie.

Obituary

FENTON. On October 23, in South Africa, WILLIAM aged 85, former General Manager/Director, Malta Television up to 1970. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Clare, his daughter Debby and her family and his many friends in Malta.

GALEA. On October 20, LUCY (Lucia), aged 77, wife of Joseph, born in Cospicua, residing at Whitby, Ontario, Canada and Gudja, Malta, passed peacefully away to go and live with the Risen Lord. She leaves to mourn her great loss her husband, children and their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Canada, her sisters and brothers-in-law in Malta and Australia, other relatives and friends. The funeral took place on October 26 at the Holy Family church, Whitby, followed by interment at the Resurrection cemetery. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord.

MICALLEF. On October 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, JACQUELINE, née Dunbar Vella, of Sliema, aged 46, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Catholic Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Michel, her daughters Tamara and Tara, her aunt Lilian Caruana Soler who brought her up as a daughter of her own, her sisters Jennifer Hague and Felicity Dunnett, her in-laws Henrietta and Henry Micallef, her cousins Edward and Jackie Caruana Soler, Alexander Caruana Soler, Edwina and Noel Barthet, Maryanne and John Papagiorcopulo, Nathalie and Ray Ferris and Roberta and Mark Borg Busuttil, her sisters-in-law Elvira and Simon Petroni, Joanna and Kenneth Azzopardi, her nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday at 1.30 p.m. for Balluta church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Special thanks to all the staff at Villa Messina, Rabat. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

He leaves to mourn his loss his sons Antoine and his wife Marbeck, Michael and Jeanette, his brother John, and his sister-in-law Theresa, residing in UK, his brother-in-law Charlie and his wife Florry, residing in Australia, his grandchildren Matthew, Julian, Jessica and Jacob, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Helen's basilica, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
