Police remember departed officers

The police force this morning remembered its departed members with Mass at the Addolorata Cemetery chapel.

Mass was celebrated by chaplain Fr Ray Bonnici OFM and was attended by Police Commissioner John Rizzo, Justice Minister Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici, police officers, representatives of police organisations and relatives, among others.

A parade led by Inspector Stephen Mallia led the congregation to the grave where wreaths were placed by the Commissioner, the minister and others.

The celebration came to an end with the last post and a minute of silence.
