On October 26 at 7.40 a.m. I waited at the Qormi bus stop on the main road opposite the Maltapost office. When the bus arrived it was being driven on the outer lane and not on the inner lane close to the bus stop.

The bus driver pretended not to see me, but after shouting and waving to him he stopped probably because he was held up by the traffic. He then signaled me to get on board. After crossing the busy road I managed to get on the bus.

I hardly had time to pay him and take the ticket than the driver pressed the accelerator, almost making me fall between the seats. On the way to Valletta, I noticed several similar incidents with people clutching at what came handy so as not to fall due to the reckless driver not giving passengers the chance to sit down before he drove off.

Thank God I seldom use public transport!
