Thumbs up and a great big thank you to the animal welfare officers under the direction of Mario Spiteri for their help in trapping and neutering a small group of strays at Marsascala which are regularly cared for by feeders. The officers proved to be professional, humane, and very dedicated to their jobs. Well done!

My thanks also go to the equally dedicated team of animal lovers and the veterinarian at the Happy Paws Clinic, who neutered these strays, and whose hard work brought about the neutering of thousands of stray animals on the island.

It is encouraging to witness animal welfare taking strides towards proper northern European standards. Well done animal welfare team and Happy Paws. Keep it up! Goodness knows how much these islands need people like you.
