On October 22 and 23, the Cleaner Technology Centre (Malta) in conjunction with UN Environment Programme (UNEP), Cleaner Production Regional Activity Centre (Barcelona) organised a workshop entitled 'Integrating education for sustainable consumption and production in existing university curricula'.

The primary aim of this workshop was to present an e-learning course on the subject.

During this discussion seminar, foreign speakers from the University of Barcelona and lecturers from the University of Malta and the Junior College also delivered presentations.

The seminar was attended by several academic members of the University and the Junior College, Institute of Tourism Studies, Institute of Health Care, Mcast and the Malta Environment and Planning Authority.

At the end of the seminar, a series of recommendations were put forward on how to enhance networking between Mediterranean universities regarding the inclusion of the subject in the curricula.
