One of Italy's most wanted mafia bosses was arrested near Naples today, police said.
Salvatore Russo, 51, regarded as one of the 30 most wanted and dangerous mafia fugitives, had been on the run since 1995.
A leading boss of the Camorra organised crime syndicate that operates in and around Naples, Russo had been convicted to life in prison for murder and criminal association with the mafia.
"This is a very heavy blow for the Camorra, we are closing the net on the superfugitives," Interior Minister Roberto Maroni told reporters.
