AZZOPARDI. On October 29, at St Thomas Hospital, London, ALFRED, aged 71, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Antoinette, née Bonnici, his sons Mark and his wife Catherine, John and his wife Becky, his grandchildren Charlie, Beth, Annie and Katie, his brothers Edgar and his wife Maggie, and Fr Arthur Azzopardi, OFM, his sisters Rose Loporto and Sister Rose of the Congregation of St Joseph of the Apparition, his sisters-in-law, Sita, widow of his brother Anthony, and Violet, widow of his brother Joe, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral takes place at the Sacred Heart church, Mill Hill, on November 4. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
MICALLEF. On October 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, JACQUELINE, née Dunbar Vella, of Sliema, aged 46, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Catholic Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Michel, her daughters Tamara and Tara, her aunt Lilian Caruana Soler who brought her up as a daughter of her own, her sisters Jennifer Hague and Felicity Dunnett, her in-laws Henrietta and Henry Micallef, her cousins Edward and Jackie Caruana Soler, Alexander Caruana Soler, Edwina and Noel Barthet, Maryanne and John Papagiorcopulo, Nathalie and Ray Ferris and Roberta and Mark Borg Busuttil, her sisters-in-law Elvira and Simon Petroni, Joanna and Kenneth Azzopardi, her nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Power cuts
Enemalta Corporation said there will be power cuts in Naġġar, Fortizza, Kappar, Parsott, Farkizzan, Mastrudaxxa, Ħaddied, Piżatur, Landier and Difiża Ċivili streets, and their whereabouts, in Mosta, today between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The electricity supply will also be suspended in parts of Luqa Briffa, Giacint Tua, Nazju Ellul and St George streets in Gżira between 7.30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Autumn concert
Din l-Art Ħelwa will be holding its traditional autumn fund-raising concert on November 27 at 7.30 p.m. at the Auberge d'Aragon, Independence Square, Valletta.
The concert will feature works by Bach, Haydn and Mozart among others, performed by Silvio Zammit, Marcelline Agius, Stephen Galea and Angelica Galea and will be followed by a buffet dinner.
