Two immigrants were jailed for six months after pleading guilty to attempting to leave Malta with false Italian identity cards.
The immigrants Gurinder Singh, 40, of India and Abdulmonaf Mohammed Fusseini, 21, of Niger tried to leave Malta on a Ryanair flight to Spain yesterday.
Mr Singh apologised for his action.

writing these comments is a waste of time, nobody in authourity, polititians gives a hoot, most probably, they are already seeing, how to get these immigrants to vote for them in the future. and I think that it won't be long, before we are ordered to stop writing these comments ,because they might be considered as racist.

Whilst I fully understand that the police have to do their job and arrest anyone caught breaking the law, I think that here we have to use our heads a little bit. Our country is being invaded by illegal immigrants who some of them don't want to stay here and try to leave illegally. Instead of waisting our rescouces arresting, prosecuting and jailing them(at taxpayers expense) I think we should do like other countries and let them leave so we get rid of them. after all they caught a plane to leave and did not hide in a container( thus risking to die suffocated) like the Greek authorities let the Afgan escape to Italy!!!

Two immigrants were jailed for six months after pleading guilty to attempting to leave Malta with false Italian identity cards. And if you illegally employ illegal immigrants you get fined 153 Euros or if you’re a businessman defrauding tens of thousands of Euros in Tax, you get to pay a small fine and a suspended sentence. MALTESE JUSTICE AT IT’S BEST.

How ironic! It's practically legal to enter "illegally", without identity documents at all, however punishable by jail to attempt to leave... The more you try, the more months you spend in jail. Tragically comical.
