A man who allegedly stabbed two teenagers after he disturbed them burgling his mother's home appeared in court yesterday charged with murder and wounding with intent.

Omari Roberts, 23, is accused of knifing Tyler Juett, 17, and his 14-year-old friend after they broke into the house in Nottingham on March 13 this year. Mr Juett later died.

Mr Roberts, of Heathfield Road, Old Basford, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court in the afternoon and was sent for trial at Nottingham Crown Court, where he will appear on November 10, a court official said.

Mr Juett's 14-year-old friend pleaded guilty to burglary at Nottingham Youth Court on May 14 and was sentenced to two years' imprisonment.
