Obituary

GATT. On October 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, GIORGIA, of Żebbuġ, aged 81, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved brothers and sisters, Carmelo and his wife Margaret, Sr Emanuela Gatt F.M.M., Philip, Maria, Fr Anthony Gatt SJ, Joe, widower of her sister Josephine, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.30 p.m. for St Philip parish church, Żebbuġ, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Żebbuġ. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GIUSTI. On October 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, aged 80, of Tarxien, passed away peaceuflly comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his sons Victor, Godwin and his wife Anna, Charles and his wife Bridget, his grandchildren Luke and his girl friend Disiree, Sarah, Matthew, Mark and Lisa, Michael and Andria, his brother Emmanuel and other relatives. Particular mention and thanks is due to his neighbours. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Tarxien parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. VELLA. On October 27, GAETANO, aged 59, passed away peacefully at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Doris, his only daughter Deborah and her husband Lawrence, grandchildren Fabrizio, Alessia and Naomi, his brothers, their respective families, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. at the Gżira parish church, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.

Power cuts

The electricity supply will be suspended today as follows:

Between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. in Dawret in-Nawfraġju and Telgħet ix-Xemxija in Xemxija.

Between 8.30 a.m. and 2 p.m. in parts of Nissieġ, Barrada and Għennieq streets in Naxxar and their environs.

From 8.30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Fanal, ta' Għammar, Maxrabija, Tamar, Lanterna and Gallina streets in Victoria.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in parts of Victor Denaro, Tal-Qroqq, L-Iskola, J. Catania, San Alwiġi, Il-Magna tas-Serrar and L-Isqof Caruana streets and A. Ferries Street in Msida.

Pre-teen parenting skills course

The National Council of Women will be holding a parenting skills course in conjunction with Caritas. The minimum number of parents for which the course would be held is 22 and the maximum is 30.

Sessions will be held on (Wednesdays) November 4, 11, 18 and 25 and on December 2 and 9, starting at 6.30 p.m. at the National Council of Women Centre, Pope Pius X11 Flats, Mountbatten Street, Blata l-Bajda.

Alex Attard will be delivering the parenting skills course for pre-teens.

A fee of €5 (which also covers material given during course) will be charged.
