Man accused of defiling minors

Tyronne Fava, 27, of Zejtun was today placed under house arrest against a personal guarantee of €5,000 after pleading not guilty to defiling two girls aged 10 and 15 and harassing a 30-year-old woman.

The cases happened last Sunday in the case of the girls, and on Monday.

He was also charged with facilitating the corruption of minors, offending public morals and being in possession of a knife.

Police sources said that the man had allegedly exposed himself to the girls and the woman and performed lewd acts.

In placing the accused under house arrest, Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera warned that he could only be taken to work by his father, and she warned against any breach of the arrest conditions.
