Utilities make original gift for Christmas

With Lawrence Gonzi's Administration not being able to establish beforehand the maximum rates for water and electricity for next year, not to mention the price of gas cylinders, I feel it is wise, bearing in mind that Christmas is not that far off, to propose that Enemalta puts on the market gift vouchers which could be given as presents exchangeable for gas cylinders and used for settlement of water and electricity statements.

These would come in quite handy and useful and would be duly appreciated by all especially at the rate the surcharges are increasing and envisaged to increase, making the coming season a little less bleak for our pensioners, families living on the breadline and just households that are seeing their standard of living declining every time there is a surcharge increase or fuel price increase.
