Years of training have paid off for 11-year-old gymnast Peppijna Dalli, who scooped two gold medals during the Warsaw Junior Olympiad, held last weekend.

Her results have also rewarded her parents' efforts to promote the young girl's dreams and support her - the family moved to Poland in June and Peppijna has continued to focus on trampoline training four times a week with her new coach Roman Gruszkiewicz.

Peppijna won gold medals in trampoline (under 13) and tumbling last weekend. She has been training in gymnastics since she was three and the results of the weekend are a "clear indication of her achievements due to long years of hard training", said her father, Alex.

Last year, Peppijna underwent intensive training under her Chinese coach Albert Chun as she was preparing for the Small Nations Games. Her training included a long trip to China, away from her family, and shorter ones to the UK.
