The Bug in the sea
The seabed is one of the last places one would expect to come across a 1943 Volkswagen Beetle. But this photo of the popular Bug dumped at a depth of 35 metres at Xatt L-Aħmar, in Gozo, won Joseph Azzopardi first prize in the marine photography competition, organised by Din l-Art Ħelwa. A record number of 36 entries were received from diving schools, clubs, students and environment lovers.

Why not ? The seabed deserves its own collection of classic cars, right !!!! Good to see some change at last . It seems to be resting on a wreck ! Is this a warship belonging to the International Seabed Museum of Military Equipment ???

Re Daniel Jones. The title for the competition was" Marine Pollution." We considered that this wreck was polluting the sea and an ideal competition winner

How can a photo of junk on the seabed win a photography prize?
