Fireworks blast victim still critical

The 26-year-old man from Mosta who was badly burnt in an explosion at a fireworks factory in Bidnija on Saturday is still fighting for his life. Mario Farrugia suffered around 90 per cent burns when an explosion occurred at the factory that was producing fireworks for the feast of Santa Marija in Mosta. Eight people were at the factory at the time but the majority escaped with superficial injuries.

Two men, also from Mosta, Ġużeppi Mangion, 81, and Edmond Saliba, 39, were treated for minor injuries.
