Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary, Naxxar, is taking part in a two-year Comenius school project with partners from Finland, Germany, Greece and Italy. It is aimed at helping post-secondary students in the respective countries understand their roots and origins, and the way customs and traditions influence their identity.

The school recently hosted a preliminary meeting of the project coordinators from each country.

The project also aims to explore the meaning behind the European motto 'United in diversity' by comparing research findings, as well as improve the participants' English language and communication skills.

Entitled 'European customs and traditions' the project is funded through the European Union Programmes Agency (Eupa) under the Lifelong Learning Programme.
