Students research at CERN

Three University students (from left) Nicholas Aquilina, Jackson Said and Kevin Falzon recently spent two months conducting research at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland, as part of the CERN Summer Student Programme after being jointly funded by CERN and the University. CERN is the leading particle physics laboratory in the world with 10,000 specialists in physics, engineering and IT visiting it each year.

Well done to those students.

But I'm proud to say that this is by no means limited to the university. Actually, 4 students have been to CERN, one of whom doesn't attend university...
