Wignacourt Funds SICAV plc's net asset value stood at €32.92 million, up 11.47 per cent over that registered in May 2008, the company's ninth annual general meeting heard on Tuesday.

Bank of Valletta's David Pace Ross gave a review and outlook of the local market and on the performance of the Wignacourt Malta Fund.

He explained that although turbulent times were witnessed during the financial year under review, the local market held particularly well in view of the strength of the local banking sector that withstood the crisis.

The Malta Stock Exchange market capitalisation now includes 17 companies, giving investors a wider choice of options.

Valletta Fund Management sales and marketing executive Grace Debono reviewed the portfolio of the three Wignacourt Funds (the Wignacourt Malta Fund, the Wignacourt Capital Guaranteed Commodity Fund and the Wignacourt Capital Guaranteed AquaEnergy Fund).

Valletta Fund Management is a member of the company's board.
