Up-and-coming Maltese table tennis player Jessica Pace made her debut for Pol Liotro in the Sicilian women's league earlier this month.

Teaming up with Mariapia Prestifilippo, Pace figured in Pol Liotro's matches against ASD TT Mazzola, TT Paolo Sidoti and Top Evergreen.

The competition is played on a Davis Cup format (two singles, one doubles match and two reverse singles). Pace, 14, contributed with two points in the victory over Paolo Sidoti but the team went down 0-5 to TT Mazzola.

The third match of the evening went Pol Liotro's way as Pace and Prestifilippo combined perfectly to give their team a 5-0 victory over Top Evergreen.

Pol Liotro will resume their league campaign in December with matches against sister team Pol Sporting and Etneo.

Pace is currently benefiting from support provided by the Maltese Olympic Committee in conjunction with Air Malta.
