Two migrants in custody over 'tribal' brawl in Ħal Far
Two migrants have been remanded in custody accused of their involvement in "a fight between tribes" that took place two weeks ago.
Somali nationals Abdalla Mahammud Abdirahmaan, 25 and Hassan Mohamed Weliyo, 20, pleaded not guilty to seriously injuring Osman Hassan Mohammed in a brawl between two Somali tribes, Police Inspector Anthony Portelli told the court.
He said the fight had been over Khat and one of the tribes, made up of men staying at the Marsa Open Centre, had gone to Ħal Far to try and steal the plant from the other clan.
The two men had thrown stones at the alleged victim and hit him on the head, seriously injuring him, the inspector said. Yesterday's arraignment follows that of two others. Mustaf Abdi Bihi 24, who was accused of seriously injuring Hussein Ali Omar when he also threw stones at him while Fakariye Alaf Hasan, 20, stands accused of the attempted murder of another migrant. They had both pleaded not guilty.

I Totally agree with Louise Vella, cause he is absolutely 100% right. We all know what is the truth altough it's hard to admit it. But the good thing is that the Authorities and those who have power keep insisting that this kind of Immigration will have a possitive Impact just so we live in an illusion but if we look at Britain,France,Sweden,Italy,Spain ,Greece etc etc cause it's an unstopable list. Facts are showing different. In Britain 50% of the children of the illegal immigrants are living on welfare cheque and they don't even have any plans for the future. In sweden 80% of the crimes are mostly like to be commited by immigrants on the top of the list Somalians. In Malta OUR country half of the cases of AIDS are coming from illegal immigrants When considering that the maltese poulation is 400,000 and these immigrants are about 6,000. These are just a few examples, and I'm basing my argument on Facts not fiction or illusion. It's a CALL FOR ACTION

Do we Maltese not have enough problems of our own? Do we need the tribal warfare of our uninvited illegal immigrants? And who pays for all this trouble? Who pays for the police, for legal aid before the courts, for the health services needed when they injure each other? Who pays for the loss of our peace of mind and for Malta's reputation as a peaceful place? Let us pay for the problems we bring upon us with our own hands. But why should we pay for problems for which we are not responsible?

Khat is an alkaloyd drug, an amphetamine-like stimulant classified as a ‘drug of abuse’ by the World Health Organisation. It is illegal in many countries, while tolerated in others. It allegedly causes relatively less dependence and physical harm than Cannabis or Ecstasy (as well as tobacco and alcohol) but has similar brain effects as Ecstasy.
What is the stand of Maltese Law on this substance?
