Hibs paired with Qormi in third round

Malta champions Hibernians will face Qormi in one of two all-Premier League ties set up in yesterday’s third round draw of the National League 100 Anniversary Cup.

The ten Premier League sides were included in the third round draw with none of the 32 teams in the pot seeded.

That opened the way for possible clashes between top flight teams with Hibs paired with a Qormi side who beat them 3-1 in the league earlier this month.

The other clash between Premier League teams sees Msida St Joseph face Tarxien Rainbows. These two teams met last weekend in the league and drew 1-1.

The six other top flight teams were drawn against Division One opposition with Valletta facing Gozo FC while Birkirkara face a tricky clash against Marsaxlokk.

All third round matches will be played between November 6 and 9.
