Victoria council's silence
It seems that nobody could answer my question about St George's Square in Victoria (October 7). May I ask once again when the works in this square are going to be finished?
The Victoria council, which is responsible for the works, seems to be deaf and dumb.

It is very unfair, for us citizens of Victoria, to be treated thus. After all, it was we who elected the present members of the Council, and therefore we have a sagrosant right to know what is going on. The more we are faced with an eerie silence the more dubious we can become.

Can I assume by this communication printed here that you have also contacted the council direct?
If not, I would contact the councillors concerned, and tell them that you will not be voting in the same manner next time. The council ignore their voters at their peril - - voters are the ones with the power not the council.
