Feasts document clarification

The Archbishop's delegate for work in the parishes, Fr Ray Toledo yesterday issued a clarification in regard to a paragraph in the Church consultation document on the celebration of feasts which speaks about the liturgical celebration.

This paragraph states that thanksgiving should be held for everyone who gave their contribution towards the feast immediately after the statue is taken back to the church and the blessing which marks the end of the feast.

Fr Toledo clarified that this paragraph spoke about the church celebration and did not refer to the band march.

The document does not take any stand about this march and the Church authorities would take a decision about it after the consultation process is concluded, Fr Toledo said.
