Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline that flies daily to Malta, has launched lower fares to selected destinations in India, China, South Africa, Bangkok and Manila for travellers departing from Malta.

Maltese travellers can take advantage of Emirates' offer to visit any of its 10 destinations in India - namely Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calicut, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram - from €681.50; Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou in China from €677.90; Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg in South Africa from €697.97; Bangkok from €683.20 or Manila from €818.95. The airfares include taxes.

This offer is valid for passengers travelling in economy class with immediate effect and before December 14, and tickets must be purchased and issued by November 30. Emirates manager Paul Fleri Soler said: "These special fares are another proof of our continued efforts to offer another exceptional opportunity to our clients.

"A trip to any of these selected destinations guarantees a wealth of experience and at a substantially reduced fare."

Emirates operates daily flights from Malta to Dubai via Larnaca, Cyprus.
