Sorry guys i have been to Malta once and once was enough, please don't get me wrong, its a nice little island, but there are other places in the world waiting to be explored and Malta is just a drop in the ocean, just about everyone visited the islands and ofcourse the prices in Malta at this monent in time ain't what the y used to be a few years back affordable and whether is inflation or in this case deflation its a fact of life, Malta is History for alot of us tourist.

@smifsud--

DEFLATION? For Malta? Highly unlikey in the Eurozone.

Otherwise it is simply Malta pricing itself out of business.

yes you right Lewis ...the beginning of the end of Malta ...Malta will be in a deeper recession than most countries because it's a belated one for Malta but it will be much more devastating for the islands ...DEFLATION !!! and HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT !!! is in the RADAR

This same headline has been repeated almost every single month for quite some time now. And please don't blame the recession as cruises are still as popular as ever. Blame the tourism operators for making our little island uncompetitive and no longer "value-for-money" and above all, blame the government for not doing anything about it.
