Pending disciplinary cases before the Public Service Commission include a senior correctional officer accused of stealing money at his place of work and a nursing officer accused of sexual harassment of patients and workers, information given in Parliament shows.

The Prime Minister said 19 cases were pending before the commission when its term ended in June.

They also include a First Secretary at the Foreign Ministry accused of making slanderous accusations against another person, a teacher alleged to have been in possession of child pornography and a general hand who assaulted a police officer.

Dr Gonzi also said that 10 public officers were dismissed from the Public Service last year and this year.
