Button and Brawn take F1 titles in Brazil
Britain's Jenson Button and his Brawn GP team were crowned Formula One champions today in a Brazilian Grand Prix won by Red Bull's Australian Mark Webber.
Button finished fifth to become his country's 10th world champion, with closest rival and team mate Rubens Barrichello suffering a late puncture and crossing the line eighth after starting his home race on pole position.
Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel, the 22-year-old German who had needed to finish in the top two to have a chance of staying in the reckoning, took fourth place.
Brawn, who had needed only a point to be sure of the championship, become the first team to take the constructors' crown in their first full season.
Poland's Robert Kubica was second for BMW-Sauber with McLaren's outgoing world champion Lewis Hamilton taking third place after starting 17th.

In order to Win in F1, you have to have a whole package. A good car, which is built by great engineers and evolved, set up and tweaked by a good / experienced driver.
Basically, the car was done by Brawn, and evolved and set up by Barrichello. In fact, the car set ups where copied most of the times by Button. He just won over his teammate because he was much faster than Barrichello.
Also, Schumacher did not find a good car and just won 5 consecutive titles with it. He built a whole team around him, worked hard and worked with his team to make the best team with the best car with the best driver. And he succeeded. Don't compare Button to Schumacher, because there is a Huge difference.
This is not to mention the fact that Button was suppressed in the second part of the season by his team mate, which with all due respect, is not one of the fastest of the lot.
Congrats to Brawn, but Jenson is the less talented driver to win an F1 World Championship after Damon Hill. I have nothing against british racing, just putting the facts right :)

Peccato Ferrari didn't do so well this season. in fact some say that recent Ferrari successes were mostly due to this Ross Brawn. Anyway nothing seems to stop British cars and British drivers from winning. And it's been so long since we last heard the Italian national anthem. Maybe next year.

Button might not be the best driver in the F1 circus, but he is surely one of the best. This season had some tough competition between the likes of Brawn and Red Bull, with other teams punching in above their weight in select tracks (which happened to favour their car setups maybe). So it was no easy season in that respect, compared to Schumi days when Ferrari had one shuttle of a car with the rest driving minis!
Also, yesterday's race showed top of the range driving from Button. Well done Button, and Brawn!

Button won the title not because he is a good driver. He just happened to be in the best car of the lot with a team mate not good as him. He won 6 races in the first 7 races of the season but then he got lost in his way. He has to thank his Barrichello (his team mate) for the car setups, for winning races and taking points to the Red Bull team.
However, one cannot not see the great merit of Ross Brawn, of understading the technical rules to the limit and getting out something from the car that nothing else could do. He is surely one of the best (if not the best) in the F1 circus.
One has to remember that this is a car built by Honda money (sold to Ross brawn for GBP 1) with a Mercedes engine. However, stand up for the champions.
Next season will see again Ferrari and McLaren on Top. Forza Ferrari!!

Good Evening,
I would like to congratulate Jenson Button on becoming World formula 1 World Champion , and in the process congratulate Brawn G.P. for winning the Formula 1 Constructors Championship in only their first season. But credit must also go to master tactician Mr Ross Brawn, an incredible achievement, and also one that must surely go down in the record books.
Best Regards,
Chris.Borg.
