Lions Club Sliema will be organising a car boot sale at St Patrick's ground, Sliema, today from 6 a.m. till noon. Participants will be charged a nominal fee of €10.
The Malta Historical Society will end its series of lectures, 'Rediscovering the Great Siege', by Dr Alfred Bonnici, tomorrow at 6 p.m. at the Auberge de Castille, Valletta. He will discuss the final theme, 'The Order and Intrigue in Europe that led to the Siege of 1565'.
The Teresian Spirituality Centre is holding a musical-literary evening to mark the first anniversary of the beatification of Louis and Zélie Martin tomorrow at 7 p.m. The songs will be sung by the choir of the Ursuline Sisters, directed by Sr Magdalene Cauchi. A conference on Blessed Louis and Zélie Martin by Fr Juan DeBono will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. A conferece on 'The Miracles of Jesus in St John's Gospel 1: Jn9, 1-41' by P. A grand reunion for all those who attended Doris Cusens' fitness classes, together with their families, especially their daughters, will be held at the Phoenicia Hotel on Thursday at 6 p.m. A DVD will be shown of a 1976 fitness display, and many may recognise their younger selves performing. There will also be several photo albums available for viewing. An entrance fee of €3 will be collected and donated to the YWCA Malta.
