ADHD Awareness Week

A seminar on 'ADHD and the Role of Essential Fatty Acids' was recently held at Ċentru Animazzjoni u Komunkazzjoni (ĊAK), in Birkirkara, in support of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Awareness Week.

Parents, guardians, siblings, teachers, facilitators/learning support assistants and others gathered to meet the experts at the seminar organised by Vivian Corporation in collaboration with Efamol Ltd.

Elena Tanti Burlo, clinical psychologist who held the chair at the seminar, began by introducing the topic and the expert panel of speakers: Dr Nadette Spiteri, Consultant Paediatrician at the Child Development Assessment Unit; Olav Attard, Secretary of the ADHD Support Group; Charmaine Agius Ferrante, Developmental Educationalist; and Peter Clough, Research Director of Efamol Ltd.

The expert panel of speakers gave the audience a holistic approach to the problems many encounter in dealing with children with ADHD.
