President and Mrs Abela this morning celebrated the feast of Our Lady of the Pillar at San Anton Palace.

The chapel at the Palace is dedicated to Our Lady of the Pillar and it was Dr Abela’s wish that the feast of Our Lady was celebrated at this chapel.

A small statue of the Madonna on a marble pillar was found at the Church dedicated to Our Lady of the Pillar in Valletta.

The statue, which is the responsibility of Heritage Mata was brought to the San Anton chapel and was decorated and exposed for the occasion throughout this week.
