Go is the first communications provider in Malta to deploy high speed mobile internet and data of up to 7.2Mbps, the company announced this week. This speed is based on Go's 3.5G/HSDPA nationwide infrastructure which is going to allow mobile users to benefit from double the current maximum 3.6Mbps speed.

Meanwhile, Go is also doubling the speed of its 2Mbps ADSL internet users to 4Mbps for free.

The technological boost allowing for mobile data speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps forms part of Go's ongoing drive to improve the mobile data experience for its customers and further strengthens its position as Malta's leading provider of high-speed wireless internet.

Providing the most reliable wireless network in the local market, Go now offers customers a superior online and mobile experience powered by high-speed wireless internet on par with the latest international benchmarks and standards.

The upgraded package, allowing for hugely enhanced home internet access, comes with a range of benefits with speeds of up to 4Mbps, great download limits, unlimited free download usage between 0.01 a.m. and 5.59 a.m., 100MB mailbox space, four e-mail boxes, and e-mail virus and scan protection.

Go is also offering subscribers a 50 per cent rebate on the normal price of its ADSL internet packages - 4Mbps, 8Mbps, 12Mbps and 20Mbps for a period of three months.
