Lisbon too far gone to block - Czech President

The European Union's Lisbon reform treaty has progressed too far to stop, Czech President Vaclav Klaus, the bloc's sole remaining leader to sign the document, said in a newspaper interview today.

Klaus also told Lidovy Noviny that a guarantee he has requested to shield the Czech Republic from post-World War Two property claims did not have to be ratified by all member states before his signing of the charter.
