Swim with a hedgehog?

How about going for a swim - with a hedgehog?

These spiky creatures are, unfortunately, rarely seen except in country roads where many end up being crushed by passing cars.

So imagine what a surprise it was for the Bajada family of Gozo to find a hedgehog swimming in their pool this morning.

After shooting the above video, Emanuel Bajada lifted it out of the water and took it to his garden where it recovered from its ordeal.

He could not see it later and hoped it had returned to its usual surroundings.
