MIFSUD. On October 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, aged 69, from Mosta, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife wife Sylvia, his son Stephen, his brothers Charles, Alfred, Francis, John and Saviour, his sisters Agnes, Mary and Rose, their respective spouses, in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital at 3 p.m. today for the Rotunda church in Mosta where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m. followed by interment at the Mosta cemetery. The family wish to thank doctors, nurses and staff of the Renal Unit and the ITU at Mater Dei for their dedicated care. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Works at cemeteries
No works can be carried out at the Addolorata Cemetery, the Pietà, and all government cemeteries between Tuesday and November 10, so as not to inconvenience visitors, whose numbers increase during this time.
This includes transportation of corpses, installation of new monuments, repairs, cleaning or painting of monuments and chapels.
Cleaning of tombs can only take place when a burial is taking place and no space is left in the tomb. This should take place before 9 a.m. on the stipulated dates. However, between October 31 and November 4 (both dates included) no cleaning can take place.

University Chaplaincy conference
The University Chaplaincy will be holding a follow-up conference to its publication on Religious Beliefs And Attitudes Of Maltese University Students Revisited - 2009 with Dirk Hustebaut, from the University of Leuven, Belgium. Attendance is free of charge and the conference, which is open to all, will be held at the University Chaplaincy in Tal-Qroqq on October 22 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Biomedical course
The second course on The Integration of Cytogenetics, Microarrays and Massive Sequencing in Biomedical and Clinical Research will be webcast from the Euro Mediterranean University Centre of Ronzano, Bologna, Italy between Sunday and October 22.
Participants from Malta will be able to attend the course at the Remote Training Centre, Medical School, Mater Dei Hospital.
