Police investigating the death of Boyzone singer Stephen Gately said there are "no signs of suspicious circumstances".
The 33-year-old Irish pop star and actor was on holiday with his long-term partner in Majorca when he "tragically died" on Saturday, according to the Boyzone Tour website.
A spokesman for the police in Spain said Mr Gately died at 1.45 p.m. in his house in Port Andratx, and added: "At the moment it is not known how he died. There are no signs of suspicious circumstances."
The Guardia Civil is investigating the death, the police spokesman added.
The four remaining members of the band flew out to the Spanish island, a message on the band's tour website said.
The statement read: "Stephen tragically died yesterday whilst on holiday with his partner Andrew Cowles in Majorca.
The circumstances surrounding Mr Gately's death remained unclear but the News of the World reported he died after a night out.
Boyzone led tributes to their "friend and brother" Stephen Gately yesterday, saying he was a "beautiful person in both body and spirit".
Stars of the music world, including Sir Elton John and Andrew Lloyd Webber, praised the 33-year-old singer, calling his "untimely death" in Majorca a "tragedy".
Westlife said Mr Gately helped pave the way for them in the music industry while former Irish Prime Minsiter Bertie Ahern described him as a "fine musician".
Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch said: "We are completely devastated by the loss of our friend and brother, Stephen.
"We have shared such wonderful times together over the years and were all looking forward to sharing many more.
"Stephen was a beautiful person in both body and spirit. He lit up our lives and those of the many friends he had all over the world.
"Our love and sympathy go out to Andrew and Stephen's family. We love you and will miss you forever 'Steo'."
Sir Elton said: "David (Furnish) and I are stunned by this tragedy.
"Stephen was the kindest, gentlest soul. We send our love and condolences to his partner Andy and to all his friends everywhere."
And musical impresario Andrew Lloyd Webber added that Mr Gately was "enormously talented".
