Malta, the 'Island in the Sun', has received some much-needed promotion from the mass-selling Sun newspaper in the UK.

It has featured the investment in the Island Hotels Group by Manchester United players Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville, saying the two have had a soft spot for the island because of the hospitality when they first visited as apprentices.

That was reinforced last February when they were treated like royalty by the Malta branch of the United supporters' club.
