Michael Cohen re-elected president of Local Councils’ Association

Labour councillor Michael Cohen has been re-elected president of the Local Councils’ Association.

The other elected members are: Paul Farrugia for the south-eastern region; Claudette Abela Baldacchino for the southern region; Malcolm Mifsud for the central region; Anton Mifsud for the northern region; and Samuel Azzopardi for Gozo.

Also elected were Ian Borg, Joseph Cordina and Ian Micallef.

During a news conference later, Labour deputy leader Toni Abela said the party was very satisfied with the results, which he said continued to reinforce the trend set last June during the local council elections.
