The Malta Institute of Management (MIM) is organising a conference on VAT and the EU on Thursday between 8.45 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort in St Julian's.
Among other themes, the conference will discuss the latest information issued by local authorities and throughout the EU, and the new requirements concerning Place of Supply Rules that will come into force on January 1.
Markets are becoming more global and more companies are becoming multinational. This has created the need for a better understanding of VAT administration mechanisms among corporations and the professionals that serve them.
The institute has been training professionals in the area of VAT for a number of years through its Diploma in VAT Compliance. The conference will inform participants on the new developments in international VAT frameworks. MIM trusts this conference will spark a dialogue on simplifying matters for small businesses involved in overseas trade.
The conference is being held in cooperation with various organizations, including MIM's collaborating partners Air Malta, BoV and Business Today, and is sponsored by BDO, Ernst and Young, Erremme Business Advisers and KPMG.
A certificate of attendance will be awarded to participants. For a full programme, more information and application forms, visit www.maltamanagement.com (News and Events section). Application is to be done online. One is kindly reminded to read the instructions when filling in the application form.
