A 24-year-old man from Qormi, George Falzon, has been remanded in custody after having been accused of causing serious, permanent facial injuries to a woman and slightly injuring a two-year-old boy.

The incident occurred in a house in Qormi last night.

He was also accused of having used a knife against another person, threatened other people, damaged a telephone, violated the conditions of a probation order and of a previous court sentence.

Police Inspector Sandra Zammit prosecuted.
