The Labour Party predictably won the Local Councils Association election, held this morning. The vote was open to all members of local councils - the majority of whom were elected on the Labour ticket.
Michael Cohen was confirmed as president of the association, with the other elected members being: The South -East region - Paul Farrugia; the South region - Claudette Abela Baldacchino; the Central Region - Malcolm Mifsud, the North Region - Anton Mifsud, and Gozo - Samuel Azzopardi.
Also elected were Ian Borg, Joseph Cordina and Ian Micallef.
